The chateau you will be staying at was originally built in the 18th century and underwent modifications in the 19th century. Although partially destroyed during the Second World War, it has been lovingly rebuilt by the family who owns it, and now operates as a Bed and Breakfast, welcoming guests from around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Situated near Abbeville, this exquisite chateau offers an ideal base to explore the beauty of the Baie de Somme, the historic battlefields of the Somme, or the grandeur of the largest European Gothic cathedral in Amiens.<\/span><\/p>\n

During your stay, you will be attended to by your charming host, and enjoy the comfort of double rooms or suites, accommodating up to three or four guests. After indulging in a generous French breakfast, you will take your French classes, immersing yourself in the language and culture. For centuries, the people in these very places have lived and fought for the grandeur and sovereignty of France, often sacrificing their lives in the pursuit of freedom, democracy, and the allure of all things French. Historical markers from eras ranging from the Middle Ages to the Second World War abound in the area we offer for your study and stay, providing ample opportunities for exploration to complement your morning French language and cultural classes, hosted in a welcoming 1854 ‘Maison de Ma\u00eetre,’.<\/span><\/p>\n
